Precautions Before Surgery

    Medication

    You can take diabetes and blood pressure medications on the day of surgery if you’ve already taken them daily.
    (Except Warfarin)

    Make-up

    Please apply skincare toner and lotion only on the day of surgery. No sunscreen lipstick or BB cream.

    Clothes

    The surgery is performed on a horizontal patient. You are recommended to come to the clinic in comfortable clothes.

    Meals/
    transportation

    Please have a light meal on the day of surgery. You are recommended not to drive on the day of surgery. Please use public transportation or be accompanied by a guardian.

    Preparation

    Prepare sunglasses and hats it helps when you get home.

Precautions on the Day of Surgery

    On the day of surgery you will see a surgeon after measuring the visual acuity and pre-surgery examination (mydriasis).

  • 아이콘

    After seeing the surgeon you will sign a consent form and prepare for the surgery.

  • 아이콘

    The surgery takes approximately 10 minutes.
    (* Depending on the condition of your eyes it may take longer.)

    After surgery rest in the recovery room.

  • 아이콘

    You can return home after making an appointment with the doctor the next day.

  • 아이콘

    Please remove the eye patch attached after surgery threehours after discharge from the clinic.

    Please visit the clinic for post-surgery examinations the next day one week two weeks 1~3months after surgery.

Precautions After Surgery

    On the day of surgery return home immediately close your eyes and take plenty of rest.

  • 아이콘

    Be careful not to get water or soapy foam around your eyes within seven days after surgery.

  • 아이콘

    Wipe with wet wipes or wet towels avoiding the eye areawithin seven days after surgery.

  • 아이콘

    If you have eye mucus within seven days after surgery do not wipe it off. Rinse it off with eye drops.

  • 아이콘

    If you experience severe pain severe redness or a rapid decrease in the visual acuity in the operated eye after surgery please get in touch with the clinic (+82 010-6748-1343) immediately and visit the clinic.

    You must wear a plastic eye patch for one week after surgery at bedtime.

    Guide to Taking Medications

    Take medicine three times a day (breakfast lunch and dinner time) 30 minutes after meals. (4-day doses)
    * If you experience symptoms such as gastrointestinal disturbances nausea vomiting
    or diarrhea while taking medicine stop taking it immediately and consult with the clinic.

  • How to Apply
    the Eye Drops
    After Surgery

    Apply the eye drop for about one month after surgery.

    Apply all eye drops one drop at a time.

    Apply the eye drop at intervals of five minutes. It doesn't matter if the order is changed.

    You may keep the eye drop at room temperature.
    * Vigamox (antibiotics): Apply the eye drop at intervals of two hours / Prednilone
    (anti-inflammatory): Apply the eye drop
    at intervals of two hours

  • How to Apply
    the Eye Drops
    After Surgery

    1.Look at the ceiling at a 45-degree angle.


    2. After pulling the eyelids drop the eye drops on the white part of the eyes.
